Your noble family was not one of those who followed the first steps of the Grand Duke Stefan in Karameikos and, in fact, arrived there only 10 years ago, when you were born already. This was very important for you and your education: while your parents tried to find a way to distinguish themselves amongst the other Thyatian nobles, sceptics about their worth, you could see things in a different perspective. You realized how farsighted was the dream of Stefan Karameikos, the third of his name, not to see Karameikos as the ensemble of two conflicting and opposing cultures but as a newborn nation still in search of its true identity.
A part for the classical studies imposed by your parents, you could comply since a teenager with your strong mystic call, felt every time you approached the Church of Karameikos. It was there that you met, at the end of AC 1004, a Darokinian merchant of kind and amiable manners, named RIAHNDDER KARENNEBED. His immense culture and the tales of his travels, especially in the Sind, were for your curious young mind the key that unlocked the chest of your desire to learn and travel in the world. At the start of AC 1005 you asked your parents to participate to the ceremony of the “Shearing”. They obviously did not agree at the start and probably they would never had, if your influential friend had not interceded in your stead. Before leaving for a long trip, he left you a letter: “Read it only when the time is right!” – He said. “How will I know that the time is right?” “You’ll know it, that’s all, young friend. And it will be soon!”
